Anton Interior Design is a small design firm with big design abilities. Founded in 1992 by Karan Anton (ASID; NCIDQ, CAPS certified), the firm has developed from its origins as a furniture, accessories and interiors showroom into a full-service interior design firm with an emphasis on the client’s changing needs—physical, emotional, and practical. Karan creates beautiful homes that age beautifully—just the way you want to!
Many Americans are now considering their homes from a new perspective: How long will they continue to live in their current home? Is their home a safe and negotiable environment for their elderly parents or themselves as they age? Who is the most qualified professional to assist them with modifying their home so that they can continue living there for the rest of their lives, while still maintaining the quality of warmth and beauty which makes a house a home?
Karan is one of the few interior designers in Boise who is CAPS certified. What is CAPS? It stands for Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, and it means that your designer has been formally educated and trained to consider the unique needs of the older adult population; the home modifications necessary for aging-in-place; and solutions to common barriers encountered by those with limited physical abilities. This, combined with her knowledge of color, texture, form, and function, makes her an ideal choice for any home remodeling project. Karan can see things in ways you’d never dream—and dream of solutions you’d never think of!
The Nuts And Bolts
Karan has more than thirteen years of interior design experience. She has a Master's Degree in Business Administration, and 25 credit hours of construction management. She has received certification through the Lighting and Design Lab in Seattle, and was president of the four-state Intermountain Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers for 2002-03. She continues to take 4-6 courses of continuing education in design each year to keep current with the industry trends and codes. Karan's technical skills and business acumen combined with her creativity make the firm an excellent choice for your next interior design project.
